On the Hunt for Trivia Hosts!

This is your chance to become the next Trivia Host(s) for Wednesday Night Trivia at The Wave! We’re holding an OPEN CASTING CALL on Monday, August 22nd at 7:30 PM in The Wave. Here’s how it’s gonna go down:

7 PM - first come, first serve to register for your 10 minute “round” of trivia

7:30 PM - mock trivia will start, please come prepared with 5-8 sample questions

We’re going ‘til we’re through all of you but first come, first serve so get here early.

Here’s what you should be prepared for:

- 5-8 sample trivia questions

- an impromptu contest for a drink ticket

- a sample of plugging an event (ie. come on out tomorrow night to spin the shooter wheel from 9-11!)

The FOUR hosts (solo or in a pair) with the highest scores from our audience will each get a week in September to show UPEI what they’ve got and the hosts will be picked for the first Wednesday in October for the rest of the school year.

School’s Out for the Summer

…and we here at The Wave are busy prepping for the next school year. We’re busy with the making of a shortlist for our first and second semester entertainment and this month (June) our Operations Manager Kirk and VP Communications Kate will be at the COCA (Canadian Organization of Campus Activities) National Conference in Whistler, BC checking out acts touring the East coast this year as well as representing one of several Eastern Regional partner schools.

We’ve got interesting acts lined up already and our annual events will be here once again. I’m talkin’ Halloween Pub, Beach Blast: Party in the Sand, Tony Lee: XXX Hypnotist and so much more.
